So, I’m building a Windows 10 image on a Dell OptiPlex 9030 AIO. Windows does a nice job with this machine, all drivers come up as working properly and accounted for in device manager. Typically in these situations, I tend to get a few drivers from the manufacturer’s site, such as chipset and video, and then just let Windows provide the rest. It seems like these days, manufacturers offer more bloat than useful drivers. I’m curious though how others handle this? Do you get all core system drivers from the manufacturer, or are the Windows drivers good enough in most cases? Also, if the system includes an update utility from the manufacturer, do you install updated drivers as they become available from that utility, or do you just let windows update manage all updates including drivers?
