Just asking this out of curiosity. I’m ordering an Amazon Echo, and having it shipped to work because it’s easier to receive things at my office than at my apartment. I will primarily use the device at home, but if I did want to play with it at MSU, is it even possible to get it onto MSUNet? If so, how does that work? Is there a registration form somewhere that will  allow manual entry of a device’s MAC?

Thanks,

What I do for this case, is change the mac address on my laptop
to the other device, and register it.

All unix like systems can do that with the ifconfig command.
Windows will let you do that by going to the device manager's
advanced tab to change a mac addr.

ps: just remember to change it back. ;-)
