Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. You'd be surprised at the
large number of charities out there that will take used cell phones as a
donation, so I appreciate your suggestions for specific charities to
narrow the field. Considering the overall cost of a smart phone, even
with a contract, I feel compelled to try to get some money back for a
used phone before considering donating it. As a tax-exempt non-profit,
I'm not sure what we can claim other than goodwill when we donate such
items, but I will look into it. Again, thank you, and have a great
weekend everyone.

Good afternoon all,

Can anyone recommend a good place to recycle used cell phones? I have
a few relatively new (2-4 years old) cell phones left behind after users
traded up to newer models, and I'd like to get some small amount of cash
for them rather than just sending them off to recycling. Any
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
