I'm not sure how you're IP'ing the device, but you may have to do MAC address spoofing to get the printer MAC address registered with campus DHCP to receive an IP address.

I believe this is due to broadcasts being disabled over the WiFis.  Bonjour doesn't work because of that :(

Naggers:

We've got our first AirPrint (Apple) compatible printer and while we can get it work on an independent wifi router we use for testing, we can't get it to work on MSUNet 3.0.  Has anyone else tried this?  I hope to learn from your experience prior to bothering IT Services.
