Thanks everyone for your responses and suggestions. @BJ, I'm a "little" familiar with Linux. ;) I haven't used the tools you mentioned so I'll take a look at them. @John, thanks for the suggestion about contacting network security, I'll talk to them first. For some reason these messages never made it to my inbox, didn't know anyone responded until a few people mentioned it to me in person yesterday during and after the WebDev Café, so I'm just seeing them now through the list.msu.edu web interface. I guess the terms used in the messages triggered a SPAM filter or something. :)
