Al, I started http://HighImpedanceAirGap.com/ about a year ago. It's a
general makerspace that may be what you're looking for.

We were at the Detroit Maker Faire with these projects:

We normally meet at the East Lansing TIC over Barnes and Noble but
January 11th we will be at the old Gunnisonville elementary school. A
teacher in DeWitt is trying to establish a fabrication space similar to
http://www.maker-works.com/ and http://www.techshop.ws/ and has asked
for our input.
