It also means you can't use your @msu.edu address as the "backup address"
which you can use to regain access to your @gmail.com (or
other Google address) account.

It also means that if you want to access your personal calendar/gmail
account and your MSU Google docs account, you will need two separate
browsers (or some tricks like multiple profiles in the same browser, but
that's still two windows). That's probably going to be the biggest nuisance
out of all of this for me.
