Most of our IT accounts (Technet, etc.) are registered to our helpdesk email, with passwords stored in a management DB that IT staff have access to. ---- Jack Kramer Computer Systems Specialist University Relations, Michigan State University w: 517-884-1231 / c: 248-635-4955 From: Al Puzzuoli <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Reply-To: Al Puzzuoli <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Date: Tue, 24 May 2011 12:02:33 -0400 To: "[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>" <[log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>> Subject: [MSUNAG] Creating a Departmental iTunes Account? Just wondering if any departments have already done this? We have an iPad for which we would like to purchase specific apps. Also, with the advent of Lion, Apple will apparently begin pushing oS installs through the App Store. Ideally, I would like to create an account and link it to some sort of prepaid card. We could allocate a certain amount of money to that card for software and app purchases and once it’s gone, it’s gone. Suggestions as to how to do this in a secure manner that complies with university policies would be welcome.
