From the SAP GUI Technical Support team:
Outbound only
Hi All,
We're deploying the SAP GUI for our users here at CVM, and I noticed in the documentation that it uses port 3299 for traffic and that we should make sure that the workstations are NOT blocked from using this port. Would this only apply to outbound traffic, or do we need to create rules in our firewall to allow 3299 inbound to the workstations? Also, if we do need to create an inbound rule, is there a range of IPs to limit access from on this port?
