Hi Lee,
I did a new clean install of Adobe 7 pro on my computer. Then I
tried to install Reader 9.1 using the standard adobe user download
method (I used Internet Explorer 6) which insists on loading an active
X control DLM (down load manager). It failed near the end of the
download with an error message "
Extraction failed for unknown reason. Info Id 6702.347.203.220024
I thought this problem might be caused by the Active X control
and Internet Explorer so I retried to download it using Firefox
Internet Browser 3.08 (the latest version). This download also
install the DLM and was still a little flaky but I did end up with a
copy of the adobe 9.1 install file in my download directory.
Then I was able to successfully install adobe 9.1 by directly
running the adobe install file from my local computer with no error
messages (I had to specify a new install directory "C:\program
files\adobe\Reader9.1")
I have the 9.1 install file on my computer I can ftp it to you or
put it on my ftp site and let you down load it if you need me to. It is
42 MB "AdbeRdr910_en_US_Std.exe"
The 91. Reader seems to handle the grant forms perfectly and will
let you save your edited versions of the forms.
So I have both 7.0 pro and 9.1 Reader on my computer right now. To
open the grant you may have to save the grant form to your computer and
then open 9.1 Reader and tell it to open the form.

Re: [MSUNAG] Adobe Acrobat Reader Problem
When you download the installation package from the adobe site, you can
use the download manager or you can download the exe. I tried both.
Neither even get to the part about asking you where to install.
Or did you run the executable via the command line where you specified
a install directory as a parameter to the executable?

Hello Lee,
I have a user with Adobe pro 7 who need the grant app also. I was
able to install the latest version of the adobe reader 9.1 without
removing Adobe 7.
Make sure you are specifying a new install directory. Don't use the
default install location.
