Re: [MSUNAG] Autoforwarding in the new mail system I think the question still stands – we won’t be able to manage filters for sure, but will they exist at all or is that functionality being permanently removed? As in if I have a filter set to, say, sort all emails with “Wombat” in the subject line, will that filter still function even though I’ll be unable to manage it as of the 22nd?

As I understand it, the new *interface* will have no ability to manage filters for forwarding and there are no plans to build one, and as such the legacy settings will *have* to be blown away otherwise you'd have no ability to manage them.

Also as I understand it, it sounds like the interface for managing forwarding settings is still in development with a release date of 12/22, is my take on the info available.

So this seems to imply that for anyone who is doing forwarding using a filter, his or her forwarding will stop on 12/22. Is that right?

This seems to be where John's question is relevant--How is this consistent with the statement that users can still use the old system at old.mail.msu.edu?  It sounds as though if they log on there, they will still see their old filters, but those filters will no longer be functioning. Is that also right?
