Note that I said comm. Arts RAMP
as in the parking ramp which has some kind of large antenna on the top level
that was not there before.

Ehren,
There are many towers and
satellite dishes on the roof of ComArts, most of which are used for the
television infrastructure of MSU Telecom Systems or WKAR (Broadcasting
Services). We have a few microwave dishes that feed connections mostly to
radio or television towers.
MSU Telecom Systems is working
with many cellular providers to help enhance services on campus. This
includes adding small, non-descript antennas in targeted buildings on
campus. Some vendors have had this enhanced coverage in for a few years,
while others are just beginning to build it out. If you wish to ping our
department off-line we can answer more detailed questions.

Does anyone know what exactly the tower that looks like a
cell tower on the roof of the comm. Arts ramp is? If it is a cell
repeater of some sort, which service is it for and how long will it be there?
