Well, I motion to all the nag list members to start posting this to the designated forum for our APA union. We who have had opinion on this matter have filled my inbox folder for the nag topics, I think we have enough comments and thoughts to post these concerns there. Someone has to read them and report it to our new Leader right?
Ehren, very vivid picture you painted for me the neophyte APA union member.
Brian, Easy... the conflict of interest comes from the angle of MSU has a partnership/relationship with a unit that gets money from us for services. I don't see Nepotism here because she is not in his unit and overseeing him here at MSU, but conflict of interest seems like a valid point because of possible the nature of the relationship. I agree it is not strong, but I am trying to see Ehrens point.

I'm sorry, conflict of interest? I take umbrage!
This isn't a freaking lawsuit where the judge is the mother/father of
the defendant or some other twisted+personal history. He was elected
into said position, and even if the MEA and APA had no affiliation he
still would have been elected into that position. And his mother would
have still worked for the MEA. That's like saying George Bush Jr.
couldn't be Governor or Texas because his father was President of the
United States of America. He was elected.
