Information Technologist I (APA 12): Web Application Programmer 

The Communication and Information Technology department of the MSU Office of 
University Outreach and Engagement seeks a programmer with a bachelor's 
degree in computer science or related information technology field and 1-3 
years of experience in database and Web site programming. Applicants should 
have experience designing and building interactive Web-based applications in 
a Microsoft environment using HTML (including CSS), XHTML, JavaScript, MS 
Access, MS SQL Server, VBA, ASP, and Photoshop. Though not required, 
additional desired qualifications include: experience working with advanced 
Web programming languages and development environments (including ASP.Net, 
C#, and VB.Net), excellent communication skills, and a master's degree in a 
related information technology field. 

The successful candidate will program and develop interactive Web-based 
information systems to collect, process, aggregate, and publish content and 
data.  S/he will create and utilize applications to manage and analyze data, 
prepare complex reports, and respond to data requests.
