I am not exactly familiar, but I can think of a couple of questions that may help those who are. 1. How wide of a paper do you want to use? 2. I belive that some models come with a paper cutter. Is this something you are looking for? 3. Is color a requirement? 4. How fast does the plotter need to be? 5. What software do you plan on using? In our environment one software requires a very specific driver, which reduces the number of plotters that we can use. +-------------------------------------------+ | Michael Surato | | College of Arts and Letters | | Michigan State University | | 320 Linton Hall | | East Lansing, MI 48824 | | Voice: (517) 353-0778 Fax: (517) 355-0159 | +-------------------------------------------+ -----Original Message----- From: MSU Network Administrators Group [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Ray Hernandez Sent: Tuesday, February 26, 2008 3:19 PM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MSUNAG] Plotter question My dept. is looking to replace their now discontinued HP Designjet 800 color plotter. I don't know enough about plotters to know this, but I am looking for a suggested replacement model. Anyone who knows about plotters have a suggestion? Or does anyone know of a good resource that I could look at? --Ray
