Also, I'd recommend Steve Gibsons SpinRite available at http://www.grc.com/sr/spinrite.htm. With sector-by-sector analsysis of a drive's surface, as long as the drives hardware is operational and spinning, we've had great success with SpinRite getting a drive into at least a readable condition so we can pull the data off the failing drive. I pulled twenty gig off a drive that had been through a recovery service and a hotshot recovery program at another company both of which said it was non-recoverable. I used to recommend On-Track, and still would for clean room service. http://www.r-studio.com/ The demo will let you preview what is recoverable and you can register it at that point. Good luck. If the drive is still accessible then I would try Capital Data in Lansing: http://www.texasinstrumentsrepair.com/datarecovery.html On the bother hand, if the data is really messed up and you have a large budget, then OnTrack is hard to beat: http://www.ontrackdatarecovery.com/0707_data-recovery-service/?psearch=google ________________________________________ From: Rachel Rumsey [mailto:[log in to unmask]] Sent: Tuesday, September 04, 2007 10:23 AM To: [log in to unmask] Subject: [MSUNAG] Data Recovery Does anyone have a recommendation for a company that can retrieve data from a damaged hard drive?
