All of this idle speculation would be put to rest if ACNS just came out 
and said one of the following:

1)  We know that mail.msu.edu is slow, and the quotas are low;  here is 
what we are doing, when we are doing it, and why.
2)  We haven't addressed mail.msu.edu because we are investigating 
outsourcing to Google.

In any case, I appreciate all that ACNS does, and the people that work 
there, but good communication is the key.  Unless I missed a NAG post, I 
feel like I'm in the dark towards mail's future. I know that we can roll 
our own as well as Google does.  If anyone has switched over to the 
'Avaya' phone system, you see how well MSU can insource.
