Here's an example:
http://michiganagrisk.org/ and
http://www.aec.msu.edu/agecon/blackj/michiganagrisk/
are alternative ways to get to a single set of pages on our IIS server.

IIS makes it pretty easy, but the basic process is pretty much the same regardless of OS or server. Obviously you have to get an additional IP address and corresponding host name. Assign the new IP as an additional IP for the NIC in your server. In your web server software set up a new site using that IP and the proper home folder. That's it.

I get a lot of requests for dns names like <http://mysite.educ.msu.edu>http://mysite.educ.msu.edu that point to something like <http://www.educ.msu.edu/mysite>http://www.educ.msu.edu/mysite I usually claim that it is not possible but perhaps I am missing something. What do other people do with such requests?
