Periodically, I receive calls from our users (on our Exchange Server) who say that Mail.msu.edu users are trying to e-mail them, but are receiving errors such as:
This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.
A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
[log in to unmask]
SMTP error from remote mailer after initial connection:
host ht.msu.edu [35.9.86.5]: 554 <sys09.mail.msu.edu[35.9.75.109]>:
Client host rejected: too many connections
Can someone help shed some light on what is causing these errors? Is there something I need to change on our Exchange Server? As I said, it is only periodically. Most of the time, there is no problem.
Thanks,
Javier Ornelas
