Hi all,
I'd like to contribute as well. We've just changed back from
'thematic' intro courses to a more standard format in a effort to
produce a more coherent base level background for majors. I haven't
found any of the intro books totally to my liking as far as
organization goes. I think if possible it would be great to make the
chapters of the book totally stand alone, so that people could use
them in any order as well.
It might be interesting to integrate lab ideas right into the lecture
material to make the two parts seamless.
I've got lots of digital images I can contribute as well (mostly
volcano pics but others as well), and wanted to add that of course
NASA and the USGS have thousands of pictures online that can be used
for something like this.
Cheers,
Ben
