Mark Russinovich knows his stuff well enough that Microsoft bought his
company(SysInternals). I think you'd have a hard time finding someone who
knows Windows internals as well as he does.
I read about this one when they discontinued NewSID. I stopped running
NewSID when I deploy a VM image and it hasn't caused me any problems so far.
YMMV of course.
