Steve - She'd been using msu webmail to this point so there is no mail
on her computer - she kept it on MSU. And it turns out the POP3 client
she's trying is gmail. But she did this at 1:55 am EDT (she's in
Nairobi) and I thought the google problems were solved by then. The
remote connection is a good idea if she's at a loss. But they are on
an EDGE network in a game park.
Brian - thanks very much for the info & for the advice. I'm on hold
with help desk now. The student was able to tell me she POP'd stuff
over at 1:55 am today. However, the student there said "the mail is
gone, sorry." I had to drop your name to suggest it was possible to
get it back and asked for a ticket.
