Although it is venerable, I would suggest the time has come for the
paper ride board to gracefully retire. Forums.msu.edu seems a logical
place for its successor. Putting the ride board online would offer
numerous advantages, not the least of which would be accessibility.
Perhaps a forum.msu.edu ride board could be created, and then a note
could be put on the paper ride board, directing people to begin using
the forum?

Anybody remember the venerable Ride Board in the basement of the Union?
(I think it's still there.)
This might be an excellent use of forums.msu.edu. Create a Carpooling
forum and people could meet up there.

PS -- saw a great story about HOV carpooling in big cities. People
stand in line and a lone driver pulls over and picks up the next person
in line.
There are rules -- no smoking, no talking on cell phones, don't start a
conversation unless the driver starts it. Then the driver gets to use
the HOV lane and whiz by all the other cars with only one driver.

Hi All,
I was looking at the MSU website and elsewhere to see if there
was any info or a list set up for car-pooling at MSU. Given the rising
oil costs it might be gaining in popularity. Anyone know of a
source/site for info on car-pooling here at MSU? MVK
