I've read that shredding CD/DVD media is environmentally
unsound/unhealthy; something about exposing the chemicals contained in
the media, and somewhat becoming air born.
We use a CD dimpler, its Sarbanes - Oxley and HIPPA certified. I cannot
seem to find the manufacturers website, but here is a site selling them.

A plus is that the media is still in tact so that it can be recycled.
We have one in 1325 Engineering Building if anyone wants to test it.
