Hi Brian,
Are you doing the updates on a stand alone machine or a machine that is
already a domain member? I ask because Microsoft provided a blocker
toolkit to enterprise customers who wanted to block automatic delivery of
IE. You will need to contact a CANR domain administrator to determine if
that script is still running on that domain. Have you tried going to the
IE7 web site and installing it directly from there. Once IE7 is installed,
rerun Updates and it will update any new dependent feature support released
since IE7.
