This article actually describes an expansion on a previous Bluetooth
security flaw which many vendors believed to be fixed with the last
implementation of the protocol. The flaw is in the core protocols of
Bluetooth, and, as such, is not limited to specific implementations. The
primary reason I'm forwarding this on is that some laptop models, and
many handheld devices that have Bluetooth capability built in can ship
with Bluetooth features turned on by default. That old security adage
about services still holds true: if you don't use it, turn it off, and
you've plugged one of the most common exploit paths onto systems. FYI.
