For Fall semester 2025, I am looking for a lab assistant in Kellogg Mondays' and Wednesdays. This is a paid position at $14/hour as we do more physical work than classroom assistants and there are a lot of tasks to do around the lab.
I am looking for one lab assistant for Kellogg Center's HB365 Foodservice Systems II course
Class is held Mondays + Wednesdays from 3pm - 4:50pm at the Kellogg Center (basement kitchen/lab)
The first half of the semester is more walk throughs, deep cleanings and some lab time.
The second half of the semester is mainly all food prep, finishing, eating, and cleaning days until the end. We have lots of great meals in this course.
1. Applicants must be willing to clean roll up their sleeves to do physical activities and any work needed around the lab.
2. They must be able to lift heavy objects from time to time and able to work on their own. Looking for a reliable assistant to prep the kitchen work spaces and keep the participants safe.
3. Must come in on time and good and communication with me.
I am looking for someone that preferably completed the food production lab course already or has a bit of kitchen experience but not necessary. Uniform and hat will be provided and free meals too (best meals of the week)!
1st half of the semester hours: 1pm - 4:30pm (flexible)
2nd half of the semester weekly hours: 12pm - 5pm (flexible on Wednesdays)
Please pass the message on to whomever you think would be interested. This could be HB or non HB students.
I would like to hand in all paperwork before the semester ends.
Please reply as soon as possible if you are interested.
