I have a project that I am having a hard time finding a postdoctoral researcher for. This is an in-person position (one year contract - funding for up to 2 years) with a salary of 79-83k. The project is funded by the USDA to simulate deer/human interactions using several data streams (GPS collars on deer, COVID-19 tests from deer, surveys from people to contextualize their interactions with deer, human mobility data).

The position is described below, but this was a failed search. Therefore, if there is a good PhD student that you know of who is graduating this semester or soon and it seems like a good fit, I will likely just do a direct hire. I need to fill the position by August. GMU will facilitate a J1 visa.

Please let me know. The student should be very strong in python. Experience working with geospatial data/developing ABM is ideal.

Best wishes,
Taylor
