Reflecting on our recent 50th AIB-UKI Conference, I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the record-breaking attendance and vibrant participation that made this event a landmark in our chapter’s history. We celebrated half a century of International Business research, thanks to the contributions of leading scholars like Prof Mark Casson, Prof Peter Buckley, and Prof Gary Knight, Prof Pervez Ghauri, Prof Jeremy Clegg, Prof Margaret Fletcher, among others.

This conference was not just a gathering but a celebration, highlighted by a gala event and a cake symbolising our shared history and future in IB research. With 258 scholars from around the world, this event was the most attended in our chapter's history, featuring enriching discussions and networking opportunities over four days, including two pre-conference days.
