Dear AIB Colleagues

As part of our growth and commitment to Education for Sustainable Development, Newcastle University Business School, located in the North East of England, is seeking two passionate Lecturers in sustainable and responsible business or management who look for opportunities to collaborate across management fields and disciplines. These are new posts, reflecting our investment in this area.

You will join a dynamic and vibrant Leadership, Work and Organisation (LWO) Subject Group that is committed to collegiality and academic citizenship. We are a globally connected, locally rooted and compassionate community that embraces diversity and advances challenges of social justice through our research, scholarship, and engagement with partners, to achieve a lasting impact from our management education. You will complement LWO’s existing expertise and enhance the thematic areas of interest of our Strategy, International Business and Society (SIBS) research community. We expect the successful candidate to undertake socially relevant and important research that forms a critical connection with your teaching and addresses current and future problems.

Your passion will come across in your teaching and support for the student experience at all levels as well as in your commitment to engaging with communities beyond the University. Your contribution to teaching may include post-experience, postgraduate or undergraduate modules in sustainability, social responsibility, capstone projects, and contributions in other management, HRM, international business and strategy modules depending on experience. The ability to contribute to teaching quantitative research skills for management and experience of teaching with simulations is a bonus. For more information about the Group, please visit our website: https://www.ncl.ac.uk/business/leadership-work-and-organisation/.

For more information please see the details at this link Lecturer in Sustainable & Responsible Business or Management (applications should be received by 24 March 2024, and we anticipate a start date in September 2024 - negotiable).

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes

Liz Alexander
