The Sonoco International Business Department, Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina invites applications for the Executive Director of the Folks Center for International Business (FCIB). A primary responsibility of the FCIB Executive Director is to recruit and manage a set of relationships with high level corporate partners and similar organizations that recognize the need for and value in developing global managers and that have an interest in being involved in the aforementioned FCIB objectives. Additionally, the Executive Director is responsible for the development and delivery of an effective communications strategy to enhance the visibility of the IB thought leadership and program activities of the Moore School. Furthermore, the Executive Director will direct the progression and execution of the FCIB strategic plan and mission statement including, though not limited to, enhanced communications, outreach, thought leadership, student engagement, experiential learning projects, and relevant fundraising related to the Center.

It is expected that candidates will have a proven track record in the practice of international business or international business education, engagement with corporate partners around educational missions, and/or interacting with business executives at the highest levels. The FCIB Director will also be a member of the Sonoco International Business Department. The candidate must also have the ability to proactively engage international business faculty, and other faculty in the Moore School, in the activities of the center. The International Business Department aims to be the leader in developing high-impact scholarship on global business. The department includes faculty with diverse functional and disciplinary backgrounds, including management, strategy, finance, marketing, economics, sociology, anthropology, international affairs, and political science, who share a passion for studying international business phenomena from multidisciplinary and multilevel perspectives.
