As we head into conference season, we are excited for the 20th Annual Michigan Family Farms Conference (MFFC) happening next weekend, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Kalamazoo Valley Community College!

Register now or the day of the conference. Transportation to the conference will be available from Detroit, Lansing and Battle Creek, bus tickets include reduced rate conference registration.

  • 2024 Farm Stop Conference, March 1-3 in Ann Arbor, MI. The inaugural 2024 Farm Stop Conference: Building Strong Retail Systems for Local Farmers and Local Food will be held from March 1-3 in Ann Arbor. With about one dozen farm stops now successfully up and running, and several more approaching launch, the conference is an opportunity for current or future farmers to learn about business operations and share best practices.   • The 19th Annual Chicago Food Justice Summit, March 6-7, 2024 hybrid virtual and in person March 8 at the South Shore Cultural Center Chicago, IL. The Annual Food Justice Summit have been shared ground for attendees to exchange meaningful knowledge, build deep relationships, and make powerful conversations on how to envision our food future together. Our Summits have highlighted ways to ground policy in community action and engage participants in reimagining Chicago’s foodscape. Past sessions have included themes crucial to food policy: climate change, labor equity, food access and urban farming. Through partnership with local leaders and beyond, attendees have engaged with passionate speakers and a marketplace of resources from all over Chicago, Cook County, and across the state of Illinois.   • Farming for the Future, March 13, 2024 from 9 am - 3:30 pm Van Buren Conference Center, Lawrence, MI. Farming for the Future is an annual educational event for local farmers and is a great opportunity to learn from agricultural specialists, educators, researchers, businesses, and other farmers. Register here.

  • Making It In Michigan Conference and Trade Show, Wednesday April 24, 2024. Registration is now open for Making it in Michigan, a premier food trade show and networking conference. Join the MSU Product Center, hundreds of Michigan-based food businesses, and retail buyers for educational sessions and buyer interaction to expand your food or agricultural business.
