Some of you may be interested in the following webinar: Amplify STEM is hosting a Zoom webinar with York University's Dr. Deborah McGregor on Friday February 9th from 11:30am-12:30pm. The subject will be “Indigenous Knowing and Climate Futures”. The webinar is free and open to MSU employees, students, alumni, and community members. Indigenous peoples have developed laws, governance and knowledge systems, practices and protocols that enabled sustainable relationships with all of Creation/natural world. This presentation will focus on the following questions: How can these ways of knowing inform viable climate futures in the face of planetary crisis? What can be learned from Indigenous peoples in support of a path forward that respects all life?
