PANELIST

Paula Caligiuri is DMSB Distinguished Professor of International Business and Strategy at D’Amore-McKim School of Business, Northeastern University. She is a work psychologist dedicated to helping companies, business teams, and executives become effective in today’s complex global environment. Named as one of the most prolific authors in international business for her work in the areas of expatriate management, global leadership development, and cultural agility, Caligiuri has authored or co-authored several award-winning research articles and books – including her most recent, Build Your Cultural Agility. Her academic publications include several articles in the International Journal of Human Resource Management, Journal of World Business, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, and International Journal of Intercultural Relations.  Caligiuri was named a semi-finalist for the Forbes “50 over 50” in both 2021 and 2023 for co-founding a public benefit corporation, Skillify, to help foster cross-cultural understanding. She is a Fellow of both the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology and the Academy of International Business.

MODERATORS

Saba Colakoglu is Senior Lecturer of Organizational Behavior at the Scheller College of Business, Georgia Institute of Technology, and is the current President of WAIB.  She teaches and conducts research in areas related to human resource management and organizational behavior with a cross-cultural and international focus. Her research in these areas appeared in such journals as Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Human Resource Management Journal, International Business Review, Thunderbird International Business Review, and Journal of Global Mobility. Prior to joining Scheller, Saba was on the faculty of Berry College in Rome, Georgia as a tenured Associate Professor of Management and held a Visiting Professor position at Koc University in Istanbul, Turkey. Prior to her academic career, she worked as a Human Resource Management professional at Nokia Networks focusing on global selection and talent development.

Noemi Sinkovics is Reader in International Business at the University of Glasgow, UK. Prior to that she worked at the University of Auckland, New Zealand and the University of Manchester, UK and held a Fox Visiting Scholar position at Temple University, USA. In addition to her role as Vice-President of WAIB, she is also serving on the board of the AIB UK and Ireland Chapter as Secretary. Her research interests are social, environmental and economic upgrading in global value chains, sustainable development, and theoretical and practical issues around entrepreneurship (including international and social entrepreneurship). Her work has been published in Journal of World Business, International Business Review, International Marketing Review, Journal of Business Research, Management International Review, Journal of International Management, European Journal of International Management, Journal of Interactive Marketing.
