Some warmth for you in the winter, with some nice activities including growing herbs.

Good afternoon,

Please share this series, “Restore Your Roots: An Immersive Beal Experience”, with students and colleagues alike! The program’s overall theme is around wellbeing and self-care, which is especially important during the dark and cold winter months. One room will feature an immersive Beal Botanical Garden experience with video and sounds from when the garden was green, the sky was blue, and the sun was shining bright (bring a blanket or something soft to sit on). Just outside of that, there will be activities including making your own tea blend, painting a clay pot, growing herbs, and more (activities will rotate per session). And what’s better for our mental and physical health than DOGS? Nothing I say! We’re excited that therapy dogs and representatives from CAPS and Health4U are also joining us.

RESTORE YOUR ROOTS will be take place in McDonel Hall in Room 42 and the adjacent center lounge (in the basement level) and will be offered on four dates and times:

This series is cosponsored by the Beal Botanical Garden and the Neighborhood Student Success Center. We hope to see you there!
