WAIB Call for Donation and Institutional Sponsorship

Dear Members and Supporters of WAIB (Women in the Academy of International Business),

We extend a warm invitation to you to contribute to WAIB's vital initiatives, allowing us to uphold our mission in the forthcoming year. We sincerely appreciate your ongoing support and generosity through the following streams:

  1. Helping Hands Fund
The Helping Hands Fund empowers deserving lower-income female faculty and doctoral students by providing competitive scholarships to defray the expenses associated with attending the annual AIB conference. In 2024, this is scheduled to take place in Seoul, South Korea.
Recipients of WAIB's Helping Hands scholarships not only gain access to distinguished scholars and the chance to network with our dedicated members but also actively contribute their time by assisting at our events and conference booth.

  1. General Support Fund
Our General Support Fund plays a pivotal role in facilitating WAIB's networking and recognition events at the AIB's annual conference.

  1. Institutional Support and Sponsorship
If you are affiliated with an institution, a center, or a foundation that may be interested in sponsoring an event/initiative, we would be happy to discuss more:

Rimi Zakaria, WAIB Secretary-Treasurer, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>, or
Saba Colakoglu, WAIB President, at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

Process your contributions at: https://aib.regfox.com/waib-donations

WAIB provides numerous benefits to its members, including our flagship Speed Mentoring session, exclusive networking opportunities, and awards receptions. We also offer special panels, tracks, and sessions at each AIB conference. Every year, we acknowledge outstanding achievements in scholarship, service, and leadership through our Emerging Scholar Award and Woman of the Year Award. In alignment with our mission to advance gender-related research in International Business, WAIB presents the Best Paper Award, recognizing groundbreaking research.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all WAIB friends, donors, and sponsors, whether individuals or institutions. Your donation is tax-deductible in the United States.

Sincerely,

Rimi Zakaria – on behalf of your WAIB Leadership Team 2023-2025
