Subject: USDA Non-Lethal Wildlife Specialist Position
Hi Jim!

I hope all is well with you back at MSU- It's been forever since we have gotten to catch up!

I wanted to reach out with a job opportunity for you to broadcast to the FW community. I am currently working for USDA Wildlife Services as a Non-Lethal Wildlife Specialist in Colorado, and my boss has just recently opened up another non-lethal position for the state. The job focuses on mitigating carnivore conflict through the use of non-lethal techniques such as fladry, livestock guardian dogs, predator lights, etc., and involves a lot of hands-on work with other federal agencies, state wildlife agencies, NGOs, and ranchers. So far I have had a phenomenal experience, and I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in working for the federal government, working on conflict reduction, or working on outreach to send in an application!

I've attached the job description and application instructions in a PDF so feel free to send it out. Anyone who is interested can also reach out to me directly ([log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]) if they have any questions! Let me know if need any more information from me and I'd be happy to send it your way- thanks, Jim!

Best,
Lauren Emerick
