Can you post these two positions on the MSU Jobs listservs? Thanks!

Pat DeHaan

The US Fish and Wildlife Service Whitney Genetics Lab (WGL) in Onalaska, WI is currently recruiting for two GS 9/11 geneticists to work in our lab. These are both permanent positions and moving expenses for the successful applicants may be paid. The Whitney Genetics Lab is part of the USFWS Midwest Fisheries Center which includes the WGL, the La Crosse Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, and the La Crosse Fish Health Office. The primary role of the WGL is to use eDNA technology to help implement two large monitoring programs; one focused on Invasive Carp in the Upper Mississippi River and Great Lakes, and one focused on monitoring for emerging AIS in the Great Lakes Basin. The lab has also worked on eDNA and conservation genetics studies for threatened and endangered species that are priorities for USFWS and other partner agencies. The successful applicants will be responsible for all aspects of these projects including working with partners to define study objectives, processing samples in the laboratory, data analysis and communicating results to the scientific community.
