12th International Conference of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management

7-9 December 2023, Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

CRITICAL DATES

Deadline extension: September 15th, 2023. Notification of acceptance/rejection by October 10th, 2023 (Papers will be reviewed, and those submitting will be notified on a rolling basis)

The challenges and opportunities in the management disciplines facing the post-pandemic in the Iberoamerican region.

Covid-19 has meaningly changed business configurations, government ecosystems, and individual existences. There are numerous global disturbances that cause unemployment, discrimination, troubled mental health, inflation, and low-slung production and consumption. But there are the opportunities and helpful influences of Covid-19, which embrace cut-rate environmental emission, enhanced voluntary Corporate Social Responsibilities proposals, shifting about digital transformation, and documentation of a feasible alternative business model. The challenges generated by Covid-19 need to be focused on by businesses and society at large so that they can be precise and overcome. The opportunities created by the pandemic are exclusive, but it is important to formulate the right strategies. Business needs to work for survival and growth during these challenging times.

We expect contributions in this area and study the impact of these waves on society and businesses. In addition, researchers view the effects of each wave and the Iberoamerican exposure to these waves. Besides, the different areas of business opportunities can be identified due to Covid-19 opportunities. For instance, companies have found Covid-19 initially challenging, but now it can be regarded as an opportunity because of a significant increase in their sales.

We invite submissions to the 12th International Conference of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management from different management disciplines that rate high on theoretical and methodological rigor. Although we welcome all papers that focus on traditional management topics, we are particularly interested in those that respond to the challenges and opportunities faced by our rapidly evolving Iberoamerican world post pandemia. Indeed, it has been suggested that multilevel research addresses the levels of theory, measurement, and analysis required to fully examine research questions (Hitt, Beamish, Jackson, & Mathieu, 2007).

Selected papers will be invited for publication in a conference-related special issue of Management Research, the Journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management.

Papers must be submitted in English, Spanish, or Portuguese. Submissions should be identified for inclusion in only one of the following tracks:
