Position Announcement Two Associate/Assistant Professor in Management at the Faculty of Business Administration, University of Macau. University of Macau The University of Macau (UM) is an internationalized public comprehensive university in the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) located at the west bank of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The GBA is rapidly developing into one of the leading technology and innovation hubs of the world. Faculty of Business Administration The Faculty of Business Administration (FBA) is one of the largest faculties in the University. FBA is a well-established full-service business faculty with AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS accreditations. It is a distinctive flagship business school in the region with key responsibilities in business and management education and nurturing the leadership talents for the development of Macau and beyond as its mission states. It bridges academic education with real world practice and proactively engages with industry and professional bodies, thus has made a significant impact on industry and society. FBA provides education in both traditional and emerging subjects of business and management, ranging from Accounting, Finance, Business Economics, Information Systems and Management, Marketing, General Management, to specialised Integrated Resort and Tourism Management. Qualifications As part of its strategic development, FBA is conducting a global recruitment of Associate/Assistant Professor in the area of Management. The successful candidates must hold a PhD in the relevant fields and demonstrate the evidence of an ability (or potential) to conduct impactful research and to publish in top-tier journals in Management and related areas. Expertise in Business Ethics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship is highly preferred. Industrial experience and experience in teaching related courses at postgraduate level are additional advantages. The candidate is expected to have strong interpersonal and communication skills. He/she will also be required to develop professional networks in the community and make an appropriate contribution to university services. Remuneration A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP1,019,200 (approximately USD125,830) for the position of Associate Professor and MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) for the position of Assistant Professor will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
