Dear Colleagues,

Early and mid-career researchers around the globe now have an opportunity to join the University of Sydney Business School as Sydney Horizon Fellows

This opportunity is available through the new Sydney Horizon Fellowships and provides not only an opportunity to become a researcher in this premier Australian University, but to be part of a cohort with aspirations of contributing to multidisciplinary research that advances some of the most urgent challenges and opportunities the world faces.

Sydney Horizon Fellowships are open to researchers and educators from all disciplines, with a particular focus on research addressing the challenges of climate change, health, and/or sustainability (understood in a very broad sense) through multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary approaches. Horizon Fellows will be supported to join existing Centres and form new communities of practice across the schools and faculties of the University.

Applicants should be within ten years of the award of their PhD, must have a strong track record of independent research excellence, and should have experience in designing and delivering teaching and learning initiatives. Fellowships may be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis.

Upon commencement, the first three years of the five-year fellowship program will be focused on research, with a minimum of 80% of time dedicated to research, and the final two years will see a transition to a balanced teaching and research workload, with an opportunity to obtain a tenured position.
