University College Cork (UCC) wishes to appoint an academic to a new Lectureship (equivalent to tenured Assistant Professor) in the Department of Management & Marketing, Cork University Business School (CUBS). UCC is a research intensive, student-centric and future-focused university.  Double accredited by AMBA and AACSB and a member of PRME, CUBS is in the top 5% of business schools globally and one of Ireland’s largest business schools with almost 4,000 students and over 180 staff.

Applications are invited from those with the skills and ambition to undertake and produce high-quality, impactful research, and contribute to our educational offerings in international business and strategy. Within this, scholars in the following domains would be of particular interest: international business strategy, global governance and regulation, nonmarket strategy, global supply and value chains, global and grand challenges, global innovation, and international entrepreneurship. We are especially interested in receiving applications amongst those undertaking research (or who will be willing to develop a research programme) within the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical context, in line with the exciting UCC Futures programme and, more specifically, the Future Pharmaceuticals collaboration.

We are committed to providing supportive learning, teaching and research environment, which recognises the diverse backgrounds and interests of both students and staff. Faculty are increasingly recognised at a national and international level for the quality of their research as evidenced by publications in the leading international journals (e.g., Administrative Science Quarterly, Journal of World Business, British Journal of Management, International Business Review, Long Range Planning), holding of editorial roles, membership of editorial advisory boards, and funding awards. The lecturer will be expected to develop a research programme that will deliver top-quality research outputs that contribute to impact and innovation, and which will further our international reputation. The appointee will have demonstrated potential for teaching within the strategy, international business, and general management areas.
