PANELISTS

Jane W. Lu is a Chair Professor at the Department of Management, City University of Hong Kong. She received her Ph.D. from the Ivey School of Business, Western University. Her research centers on the intersection between organization theory and strategy with a focus on international strategy and non-market strategy. Her work has appeared in Academy of Management JournalAdministrative Science Quarterly, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management and Journal of International Business Studies, and other leading journals. She is an elected fellow of the Academy of International Business and the President of the Asia Academy of Management.

Vikrant Shirodkar is a Reader (Associate Professor) in International Business at the University of Sussex Business School. His primary research interest is on non-market strategy in the context of international business. Vikrant’s research has appeared in notable journals such as the Journal of World Business, Journal of Product Innovation Management, British Journal of Management, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Business Research, Management International Review, International Business Review, and Journal of International Management, among others. He has co-edited the book ‘Nonmarket strategies in International Business’ published by Palgrave Macmillan as part of the AIB UKI book series.

Andrei Panibratov is a professor at EMLV Business School, Léonard de Vinci Pôle Universitaire, France. His research focuses on the internationalization, legitimacy, and liability of foreignness of emerging market firms, state ownership and political capital, and the competitive advantages of Russian MNEs. He has published in the British Journal of Management, International Business Review, Journal of International Business Policy, Management and Organization Review, among others. He has authored Russian Multinationals (2012) and International Strategy of Emerging Market Firms (2017), both with Routledge. Andrei was elected as the first National Representative of Russia and a Board Member of the European International Business Academy. Andrei serves on the editorial and review boards of few top international journals.
 

MODERATORS

Jonathan Doh is Associate Dean of Research, Rammrath Chair in International Business, Faculty Director of the Center for Global Leadership, and Professor of Management at the Villanova School of Business. He is a prolific scholar and author in the fields of international business, trade, strategic management and corporate responsibility. Dr. Doh has been a visiting professor at universities in Europe and Asia and served as a trade official with the U.S. Department of Commerce. He is author or co-author of more than 75 refereed articles published in leading scholarly and practitioner journals, and a dozen teaching cases and simulations, and co-author or co-editor of eight books. He has been and editor-in-chief at Journal or World BusinessJournal of Management Studies, and is currently Area Editor for Sustainability at JIBS.

Klaus Meyer is a Professor of International Business and William G. Davis Chair in International Trade at Ivey Business School, Canada.  Until 2017, he spent six years at China Europe International Business School. Previously he has also been faculty member at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, the University of Bath, England and University of Reading, England. He is a Fellow of the Academy of International Business (AIB), and in 2015 he received the Decade award of the Journal of International Business Studies (JIBS). From 2016 to 2022, he served as an area editor of JIBS. He has published over 90 articles in leading scholarly journals, and he published nine books, including the textbook “International Business” and the Oxford Handbook of Management in Emerging Markets.
