The Genomics & Chemical Ecology Group at Michigan State University (Weiming Li Lab in Department of Fisheries and Wildlife: https://www.lilabmsu.com/) is recruiting 5 seasonal research technicians. Technicians will assist with sea lamprey behavioral assays in the field at USGS Hammond Bay Biological Station, Millersburg, MI from May - August with shared housing provided. This is an excellent opportunity to directly participate in research and gain experience with the following: • Animal behavioral observations • Assisting with experimental setup, data collection, and data management • Dissection and basic physiology • Fish husbandry and care • Passive integrated transponder (PIT) tagging surgical procedures and telemetry equipment MSU students can learn more about the position and apply through Handshake by searching for job #7586838.
