Immanuel Azaad Moonesar hails from the Caribbean island of Trinidad and Tobago, and he also serves
as Managing Director at “I AM Consulting” (Trinidad & Tobago), and Chapter Chair of the Academy of International Business Middle East & North Africa Chapter. Throughout his career, he has worked in quality assurance and management, nutrition and dietetics,
health and safety, teaching, and institutional research. His current research interests are public policy, healthcare management & leadership, maternal & child health, health policy and innovation, nutrition, and quality management. A registered dietitian,
he possesses professional certifications in ‘NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety’, ‘Project Management: Certified Business Professional (CBP)’ and ‘Quality Management System Internal Auditors (ISO 9001:2008)’. Dr. Moonesar also has over 215 publications
across peer-reviewed journal articles, peer-reviewed international conferences, co-authored books, and book chapters. His research grants and fundraising attainment amounts to over 1,650,000 USD (Over AED 6 million).
Andrew Delios is Professor and Vice-Dean MSc Programs at NUS Business School. He was Head of the Department
of Strategy and Policy at NUS for 8 years. His research looks at strategy, governance and global competition in emerging economies, with a particular focus on international business issues for companies operating in East and Southeast Asia. Andrew has worked
and lived in Asia for more than 25 years, including three years in Hong Kong and two in Japan. He teaches a module on Asian Business Environments to MSc, MBA and EMBA students, which includes discussions of cultural and gender issues in organizations in Asia.
YingYing Zhang-Zhang is a Full Professor of Management at Graduate School of International Management,
International University of Japan (IUJ). She received her PhD from ESADE Business School, Ramon Llull University in Spain. Prior to her position at IUJ, she was a faculty member at CUNEF Madrid, Spain. She has also held several visiting positions as scholar
and lecturer around the world in the US, UK, Germany, Latin America and Asia, such as Harvard University, Rutgers University, Cranfield University, Gottingen University, and Tec Monterrey University. Her research interests include strategic people management,
culture, and others in the intersection between international business, strategy and people related issues such as innovation in emerging markets. Besides frequent research article publications in management journals like Journal
of Business Research, International Marketing Review, International Business Review, Human Resource Management Review, International Journal of Human Resource
Management, and Management and Organization; she has co-written several management books such as Leadership of Chinese Private Enterprises (Palgrave
Macmillan) and The Source of Innovation in China (Palgrave Macmillan). Her works have received the Emerald Research Excellence Award, and been in the finalist
list of several internationally reputed awards, as well as in the Best Paper proceedings of AoM. She has been a guest editor for two special issues related to emerging markets, and is currently a board member of Women in the Academy of International Business,
and Deputy Secretary-General of International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM).
Andre A. Pekerti is an Associate Professor in International Management at The University of Queensland
Business School. He is an n-Cultural, a Christian of Indonesian-Chinese heritage who grew up in Jakarta, Southern California, and New Zealand, and is a naturalized New Zealander and Australian. Andre’s
multicultural background complements his research interest and teaching in international management. His research interests are attributions, acculturation, cultural intelligence, cross-cultural communication, cognitive complexity, ethics, family business,
human factors, n-Culturals, servant leadership, social justice, well-being.
Peter Liesch is Professor of International Business at the UQ Business School, The University of Queensland,
Australia. He is a Fellow of the AIB, a Fellow of the Australia and New Zealand International Business Academy, Professional Member of the Australian Economic Society Queensland branch, and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Managers and Leaders. He
is President-Elect of the AIB. His publications appear in the international business suite of journals, including the Journal of International Business Studies, and other management journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Operations
Management and the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science. He was awarded a Fiftieth Anniversary Silver Medal for publications in the Journal of International Business Studies in 2019. He has served as an Area Editor of the Journal of International
Business Studies, and has been a Senior Editor at the Journal of World Business.
Moderator
Marina Schmitz serves as a Researcher and Lecturer at the Coca-Cola Chair of Sustainable Development
at IEDC-Bled School of Management in Bled, Slovenia as well as CSR Expert/Senior Consultant at Polymundo AG in Heilbronn, Germany. She draws on several years of work experience as a Lecturer, Research Associate, and Project Manager at the Center for Advanced
Sustainable Management (CASM) at the CBS International Business School in Cologne, Germany. Marina is passionate about challenging the status quo of how we understand and teach economy and management-related content to our students. To accomplish this goal
and create a more inclusive and sustainable society and business environment, she seeks exchange with fellow educators and practitioners. She is currently involved in various international research projects dedicated to sustainability-related innovative higher
education pedagogy and engaged scholarship. She is pursuing her doctorate at the Chair of Human Resources Management and Asian Business at the University of Göttingen, where she worked as a Research Associate for several years.
