The position is stationed on Missouri State University campus in Springfield, and the candidate will be working with both NPS and Missouri State University staff.

A good understanding of freshwater systems is required. The candidate will be responsible for collecting aquatic field data (fish, invertebrates, stream habitat, water quality) and identification and processing of fish and invertebrate samples in the lab. Extensive travel throughout the Midwest to conduct sampling for several consecutive days is also necessary. Additional job responsibilities are: data entry, data analysis, and assisting NPS biologists with report writing.
