The Center for Alaskan Coastal Studies has summer jobs and internships available in Kachemak Bay & Homer, Alaska.  If you know of anyone who is looking for an interesting and meaningful summer job, please share this job announcement with them.

Responsibilities vary by position.




Qualifications - successful CACS educators and naturalists are: •  able to work both independently and as part of a team •  eager to work with children and able to adapt programs to various ages •  able to maintain a positive, solution-oriented attitude as challenges arrive •  capable of working long and irregular hours, as well as hiking and working in inclement coastal Alaskan weather (cold, windy, rainy)  •  able to take and give direction and feedback on a variety of topics •  have effective communication and strong interpersonal skills •  have current First Aid/CPR certification; WFA or WFR certification a plus, and •  have knowledge of or a strong interest in learning about marine life & intertidal ecology, boreal forest & human uses of plants, environmental education & natural history interpretation.




Benefits include compensation of $2,000 - $2,480 per month depending on experience (DOE) and responsibilities, plus shared housing.
