 Dear CANR community,

We are pleased to announce the 2023 MSU Sustainable Agriculture and Food Systems (SAFS) Seminar Series!  Please see attached flyer for the speaker schedule.  This seminar series is co-sponsored by the MSU Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems program, Center for Regenerative Agriculture, Center for Regional Food Systems, and MSU College of Agriculture & Natural Resources Depts: Food Science & Human Nutrition, Plant Soil & Microbial Sciences, Community Sustainability, Animal Science, and Horticulture.

Six seminars will be held on Fridays 12:40 – 1:30 pm in Anthony Hall room 1135 (across the hall from the MSU Dairy Store). Join us for bring-your-own lunch/social time before the seminar.  Light snacks will be served starting at 12:10 pm.

Our first speaker on Friday, February 3, will be Dr. Bruno Basso, MSU Foundation Endowed Professor in the Departments of Plant, Soil and Microbial Sciences, and Earth and Environmental Sciences, Michigan State University. His research approach integrates diverse disciplines such as Biophysics, Climatology, Hydrology, Genetics, Agronomy, and Soil Science to understand overall agricultural systems and to improve decision-making across a broad spectrum of stakeholders, from the smallholder farmer in the developing world to the industrial producer and policy maker at all scales.
