Chapter Chair

 

 Technology and Social Media Director

 The Technology and Social Media Director will be responsible for:

a)     Managing the AIB-US West chapter’s website and social media accounts, as well as creating and managing a listserv.

 

b)    Maintaining, in cooperation with the chapter’s Chair and the rest of the Executive Board, regular updates of content on the chapter’s website, including conference information, as well as liaising regularly with AIB’s Media and Communications Manager to ensure chapter information is shared with AIB in a timely manner. 

 

c)     Promoting and maintaining the AIB-US West chapter’s social media presence (e.g., monitoring appropriate and stimulating content, posting announcements and articles, encouraging members to post, etc.).

 

d)    Monitoring the content being posted to social media accounts by chapter members to ensure there are no violations of AIB’s values and ethics.

             

Events Director

The Events Director will be responsible for:

a)     Organizing and implementing the AIB-US West Chapter’s virtual networking events throughout the year (ideally, at least two per year), as well as an in-person networking event during the main AIB annual meeting.

 

b)    Championing and promoting professional development and/or mentoring related initiatives and programs for chapter members. This may include: Workshops (virtual or in-person) on various topics or skills in collaboration with AIB Special Interest Groups or other Chapters; a mentoring event during the chapter’s annual conference or at the main AIB annual meeting; one-on-one mentor matching; a social media mentoring platform, etc.

 

c)     Assisting the Chapter’s Chair and Conference Chair in the planning and implementation of initiatives associated with the chapter’s annual conference.

 

d)    Collaborating with any member of the Executive Board on member-only event-related projects and responsibilities as needed, and volunteering for new initiatives outside of their director duties as interested.
