Dr. Trevis Certo is the Jerry and Mary Anne Chapman Professor of Business at the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. He obtained his PhD from Indiana University.  Professor Certo studies how corporate governance structures and top management teams influence firm performance. His research explores these topics extensively in the context of firms undertaking initial public offerings. He also focuses on statistical techniques that help to isolate relationships of interest within large datasets. Dr. Certo has a reputation as a world-class methodologist. His work also included articles on prospectus data; panel data issues; as well various analytical techniques such as difference-in-difference models; sample selection bias and Heckman models; mediation models. Interestingly, Dr. Certo has used simulations in many of these methods articles. His research has appeared in the top journals in the discipline, including the Strategic Management Journal, the Academy of Management Journal, and the Academy of Management Review. 

Dr. Stewart Miller is Professor of Management at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Also, he is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at UT Health San Antonio. His research interests include: liability of foreignness, internationalization, CSR, and research methods.  He has over 50 publications including scholarly articles, cases, teaching notes, book chapters. His articles have appeared in AMJ, SMJ, JIBS, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, GSJ, MIR, and IBR among others.  Also, he is a co-author (with H. Deresky) of the textbook, International Management (10th edition).  He is President and a Co-Founder of the AIB Research Methods SIG (RM-SIG). He was the 2020 Chapter Chair for the AIB – Southeast US Chapter Annual Conference. He is a Consulting Editor for Journal of International Business Studies.
